Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Build scalable backend services using Python, Scala, or Java.
- Develop services supporting AI agents, orchestration workflows, enterprise integrations, and automation.
- Integrate LLM APIs and AI services to build AI-powered applications.
- Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines and enterprise knowledge integrations.
- Implement database queries, data models, backend processing logic, logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
- Collaborate on scalable cloud-native applications and contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot production and integration issues, participate in code reviews, and document technical designs and APIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with consideration for coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 2–5 years of software engineering or backend development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, backend services, microservice-based applications, and frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or Flask.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kafka, or SQS.
- Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Exposure to generative AI, LLMs, AI-powered applications, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Claude, Gemini, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Understanding of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, prompt engineering, tool calling, function calling, AI workflow orchestration, and responsible AI principles is preferred.
