Responsibilities
- Challenge bot detection mechanisms through internal red-team testing and build tools to automate the process.
- Analyze detection modules and customer-site configurations to proactively identify bypasses and misconfigurations.
- Add browser fingerprint signals to client-side scripts to detect advanced bots.
- Improve JavaScript security and resilience through obfuscation techniques that prevent reverse engineering.
- Collaborate with the mobile team to collect SDK signals for mobile bot detection.
- Research and implement new bot-detection approaches with threat research and cross-functional teams.
- Share research findings through meetups, conference talks, academic papers, blog posts, and other appropriate channels.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience programming in JavaScript.
- Strong computer science background.
- Experience dealing with bots or malware.
- Strong knowledge of web and network infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of web client-side technologies.
- A hacker mindset and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a cybersecurity company, WebAssembly experience, and compiler experience are nice to have.
