Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript or Java.
- Maintain and enhance scalable, reliable test automation frameworks and regression coverage.
- Implement Cucumber behavior-driven testing and maintain reusable test scenarios.
- Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools and frameworks.
- Validate complex data flows and data accuracy using SQL and MongoDB.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Use generative AI tools to accelerate test development, framework refactoring, and defect triage.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- Completing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field by July 2027.
- Proficiency with the Playwright framework using Java or TypeScript for UI and API automation.
- Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or agentic AI tools for code generation, test authoring, and debugging.
- Basic domain knowledge in financial services, preferably payments, foreign exchange, or banking systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with performance-testing tools and frameworks such as JMeter or k6.
- Understanding or hands-on exposure to AI-driven testing techniques, including test optimization, intelligent test-data generation, or self-healing automation.
- ISTQB, Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and collaboration skills, along with curiosity and willingness to learn.
