Responsibilities

Develop, update, maintain, and improve scripts for automated testing.
Perform manual, black-box, functional, non-functional, post-release, and post-implementation testing.
Identify, analyze, document, confirm, and validate test results and defects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on testing strategies, troubleshooting, issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolutions.
Assess and implement tools and technologies that improve testing efficiency.
Ensure software applications meet business and technical requirements.

Have less than three years of hands-on Test Engineer experience.
Have manual testing and black-box testing experience.
Have hands-on Python programming experience.
Have experience with requirements tracing, defect tracking, and test management tools.
Understand testing techniques including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and pair testing.
Be familiar with V&V, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Hold a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred: knowledge of train operations or transportation domains such as train control systems.
Preferred: familiarity with IBM test management tools, IBM DOORS, RTC, RM, Eclipse, or PyCharm.
