Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, design, code, test, and implement application solutions for regulatory reporting and strategic finance initiatives.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, development tools, technology standards, and team best practices.
- Develop and query databases and integrate applications using Java, messaging middleware, event-driven systems, and related technologies.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts.
- Conduct code reviews, resolve issues independently, and participate in testing and the application development lifecycle.
- Coach and mentor team members, participate in knowledge transfer, and evaluate new technologies.
Requirements
- University or postgraduate degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and knowledge.
- Java development experience including J2EE and the Spring or Spring Boot framework.
- Database development and SQL querying experience, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, collaboration tools, and application development using messaging middleware.
- Experience with at least two of JMS, complex event processing, REST, Solace, or MQ.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, cloud, NoSQL data stores, Big Data, DevOps, microservices, secure coding, and software development methodologies.
- Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Angular or React experience and investment banking knowledge or experience are nice to have.

- Base salary of $102,200 - $125,000 CAD plus eligibility for discretionary variable compensation.
