Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the roadmap and architecture based on technology and business needs.
  • Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code and build features from technical specification through execution.
  • Design, debug, and operate fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, explain technical tradeoffs, and distribute knowledge.
  • Proactively resolve ongoing incidents and collaborate across teams to achieve results.
  • Share knowledge through brown bags and technical talks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • At least 3 years of industry software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
  • Experience designing, debugging, and running fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with common CI tools including Jenkins, Buildkite, CircleCI, or TeamCity, with proficiency in at least one.
  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems and relational and NoSQL databases.
