Base Salary
$372k - $550k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own Lambda’s multi-year technical strategy for networking software across GPU fabric, frontend, backbone, edge, and related infrastructure.
- Set technical direction and engineering standards for large-scale network software and services.
- Design, build, launch, and operate distributed networking systems and software-defined networking services.
- Lead technical work end to end, from vision and high-level architecture through detailed design and delivery.
- Guide enterprise customers through mission-critical projects and incorporate their feedback into Lambda’s roadmap.
- Resolve technical ambiguity across network, hardware, platform, and product teams.
- Participate in day-two operations and the on-call rotation.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, hiring, and technical leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in relevant domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, and large-scale network infrastructure.
- Experience designing, building, and operating production-scale data center or cloud networks.
- Experience building distributed network systems and Tier 1 software-defined networking services at scale.
- Experience leading implementation and launch of large production-scale software service projects.
- Expert knowledge of performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Experience with networking from cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of HPC/AI networking, RoCEv2, InfiniBand, GPUDirect RDMA, distributed training workloads, software-defined networking, network monitoring, telemetry, and data center, backbone, and internet protocols.
