Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and support scalable full-stack solutions for owner-authenticated web experiences.
- Develop responsive, accessible, reusable UI components using React.
- Build and enhance backend APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate front-end applications with distributed backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Deliver vehicle information, account, notification, service-related, and other owner-facing capabilities with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to architecture, technical design, implementation planning, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and production readiness.
- Troubleshoot non-routine issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
- Suggest improvements to developer velocity, code quality, platform consistency, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot or comparable enterprise Java frameworks.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with distributed backend services.
- Working knowledge of version control, testing, debugging, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple timelines, and determine appropriate actions within broad guidelines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with peers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience modernizing legacy applications to React, micro-frontends or modular web patterns, design systems, customer identity or account products, cloud-native development, observability, production support, and mentoring junior engineers.
