Responsibilities
- Automate and scale deployment and management of thousands of VPN servers across a global fleet.
- Design out single points of failure and improve infrastructure resilience.
- Build monitoring, logging, and anomaly detection systems.
- Troubleshoot Linux systems, networking, VPN protocols, and proxy layers.
- Reduce manual work through scripts, n8n workflows, Jira integrations, and internal tooling.
- Partner with software engineers to improve infrastructure, CI/CD, tooling, and reliability processes.
- Lead incident response, postmortems, disaster recovery readiness, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in SRE or similar roles with ownership of production-critical systems at scale.
- Strong Linux systems and networking knowledge, including DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls, and proxies.
- Production experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Lua.
- Experience monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting performance and reliability issues at scale.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, incident management, disaster recovery, and secure infrastructure practices.
- Ability to use Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot responsibly while checking outputs for security and performance.
- Experience with bare-metal provisioning, iPXE/PXE network boot, hardware lifecycle, out-of-band management, hosting or colocation providers, provider APIs, or globally distributed latency-sensitive services is preferred.
