Quality Assurance Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Test features and small feature sets independently.
- Write, execute, and monitor automated UI and API test suites.
- Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing and create use cases.
- Break down quality-related problems, estimate tasks, and deliver testing work with limited supervision.
- Create test plans and collaborate with Quality Leaders and development teams on bug fixes and build plans.
- Define quality metrics, testing best practices, and coding patterns.
- Configure testing tools and assist junior staff when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Programming experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with UI test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or WebDriverIO, including TypeScript or Java.
- Experience testing APIs and automating tests with Karate, Rest Assured, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of core data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of the infrastructure needed to run large distributed web applications.
- Ability to make basic technology choices and estimate development or quality tasks.
