Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of UEFI drivers and applications in the EDK2 framework for Intel- and AMD-based server platforms.
- Design and optimize Host-to-BMC inter-processor communication using MCTP over MMBI, I2C, USB, or eSPI interfaces.
- Integrate, validate, and ensure BIOS-side compliance for management and security features including I3C_MNG, I3C_DBG, and data filtering.
- Lead triage and debugging of low-level firmware issues, including handshakes with Intel-, AMD-, and Arm-based CPU platforms.
- Collaborate with ODM and OEM partners to support ACPI, PCIe, SMBIOS, Secure Boot, and Platform Firmware Resilience compliance and innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in UEFI firmware development.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ for firmware programming.
- Deep understanding of x86 architecture, ACPI, PCIe, VGA, and memory management.
- Experience with Host-to-BMC communication protocols and SMBIOS/ACPI table handoffs for remote management.
- Expertise in Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, NIST SP 800-193, secure flash updates, and firmware integrity checks.
- Hands-on experience with EDK2 firmware development, remote debugging tools, and firmware validation methodologies.
- Preferred experience developing and maintaining CRB features for Intel and AMD server platforms.
- Preferred knowledge of Redfish and MCTP/PLDM interactions within UEFI and UEFI-level interactions for AI servers.
