Responsibilities
- Design and evolve high-performance host and device APIs for the Metal Runtime.
- Develop intuitive abstractions that expose low-level hardware capabilities.
- Collaborate with runtime, kernel, compiler, and software teams to create scalable interfaces.
- Contribute to runtime implementation, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Drive API quality through thoughtful design and usability improvements.
Requirements
- Strong C/C++ development skills with a focus on low-level systems programming.
- Experience with concurrency, processors, and performance-critical systems.
- Ability to design clean, maintainable APIs and abstractions.
- Thoughtful approach to balancing performance, usability, and maintainability.
