Base Salary
$163k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship production backend services in Go and/or Rust.
- Build and maintain high-throughput telemetry ingestion pipelines.
- Develop RESTful and gRPC APIs for internal and external data access.
- Implement and evolve the time-series storage layer for optimal performance.
- Build event streaming pipelines with validated integration tests.
- Own service reliability and participate in on-call rotations.
- Instrument services with logging, tracing, and metrics for diagnostics.
- Package and deploy services as containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with the Principal Architect on platform architecture.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go and/or Rust with production experience.
- Experience with distributed data systems and event streaming.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with cloud-native deployment and containerization.
- Familiarity with observability tooling and metrics.
- Comfortable writing SQL and working with data models.
- Strong engineering practices including CI/CD and operational ownership.
