Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provision, deploy, and manage AWS, GCP, and SaaS cloud resources using Terraform.
- Build scalable, reliable, cost-effective infrastructure and develop and test disaster recovery plans.
- Own and improve the CI/CD systems used by engineering teams.
- Embed zero-trust, least-privilege, identity-based access, and infrastructure security policies into the platform.
- Automate operational work and build internal tools to reduce toil.
- Partner with product engineering to translate application needs into scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Own monitoring, logging, and alerting and remediate performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, outage recovery, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Mentor engineers and drive cross-team infrastructure initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps engineer, or SRE operating production cloud environments at scale.
- Proficiency with multi-cloud operations; AWS is preferred and GCP is a plus.
- Experience implementing infrastructure and security policy as code.
- Strong software development skills, preferably in Python or another high-level language.
- Experience mentoring engineers, leading post-incident reviews, or completing cross-team infrastructure initiatives.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable automation and tooling code; experience building internal tools or services is a plus.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls, and cloud or hybrid networking.
- Strong hands-on Linux and command-line skills.
- Comfort using AI tooling for infrastructure automation, tooling, and debugging; AI-assisted DevOps experience is a bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team alignment.
