Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-based solutions for software security scanning, analysis, and vulnerability detection.
- Build scalable systems and pipelines that analyze large source-code repositories, binaries, dependencies, artifacts, codebases, and software portfolios.
- Integrate AI capabilities with Coverity, CodeQL, Black Duck Binary Analysis, static analysis, semantic code analysis, vulnerability databases, and other security signals.
- Identify and analyze CVEs, CWEs, insecure coding practices, vulnerability patterns, attack surfaces, and other software security risks while reducing false positives and false negatives.
- Develop proprietary security analysis technologies and intellectual property beyond conventional rule-based scanning.
- Debug complex security-analysis problems, investigate root causes, and collaborate with engineering, security research, architecture, and product teams.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and establish best practices across AI and software security engineering.
Requirements
- Multiple years of professional software engineering experience, including work with large codebases and large engineering organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of software security best practices, secure software development, vulnerability analysis, software security architectures, CVEs, CWEs, CVSS, vulnerability databases, and common vulnerability classes.
- Experience with security scanning, static or dynamic analysis, taint analysis, code property graphs, symbolic execution, fuzzing, reverse engineering, binary analysis, vulnerability research, IP protection, anti-tampering, or related technologies.
- Experience with tools such as Coverity, CodeQL, Black Duck Binary Analysis, Semgrep, or comparable security platforms.
- Experience applying AI/ML, LLMs, generative AI, code intelligence, embeddings, RAG, AI agents, or automated reasoning to software engineering or cybersecurity problems.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of C/C++, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or similar languages.
- Understanding of software architecture, algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, large-scale software development, repositories, dependency graphs, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software environments.
- Experience taking technical concepts from research or prototype through production implementation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
