Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom integrations between ServiceNow and our platform.
- Build custom workflows, flows, and scripted actions tailored to business processes.
- Develop scripted REST APIs and REST Message configurations for data exchange.
- Write server-side integration logic including Script Includes and Business Rules.
- Build Java-based middleware services that connect ServiceNow with our platform.
- Define and maintain data mapping and error handling strategies.
- Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Promote secure development practices based on OWASP principles.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute to and improve shared code and tooling across Platform teams.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience focused on integration.
- 1-2 years of Java development experience, preferably with Spring Boot.
- Deep experience with ServiceNow scripting including Script Includes and Business Rules.
- Strong experience building ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Solid understanding of Flow Designer and custom workflow authoring.
- Experience with authentication and security patterns like OAuth 2.0.
- Familiarity with microservice ecosystems and service-to-service integrations.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with large codebases, unit testing, and ServiceNow ATF.
- Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git.
