Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, systems analysis, and application development.
- Design, code, test, document, and implement application release projects using Java-based technologies.
- Develop and implement new or revised applications and programs to meet business and user-area needs.
- Collaborate with Program Management, Quality Control, users, clients, and technology teams to deliver quality software on schedule.
- Recommend security measures, perform post-implementation analysis, and support system functionality and business usage.
- Consult on technical issues, recommend programming solutions, install systems, and assist with customer-facing systems.
- Define and follow operating standards and processes while assessing and escalating technology, compliance, and control risks.
- Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members with limited direct supervision.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Hands-on proficiency with Core Java, J2EE, microservices, cloud-based frameworks, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, Maven, and MongoDB.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, changing expectations, and changing requirements.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Volante is preferred, along with exposure to DevOps tools including uDeploy, TeamCity, Jenkins, and Cucumber.
