Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver integration architectures that consolidate siloed applications into interoperable EcoStruxure environments.
  • Integrate partner and third-party solutions through APIs, connectors, data models, and interface specifications.
  • Define software, hardware, compute, edge, network, data, storage, visualization, and communication-protocol architectures for Digital Twin and AI solutions.
  • Build backend services, RESTful APIs, data integrations, and front-end interfaces, moving prototypes toward production.
  • Deliver cloud and DevOps solutions using containerized deployment, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.
  • Lead innovation and R&D initiatives and document reusable reference architectures and design patterns.
  • Design and present Digital Twin and AI architectures for proofs of concept, tenders, and sales opportunities.
  • Act as architectural design authority, conduct reviews and workshops, assess trade-offs, identify risks, and mentor engineers and interns.
  • Apply secure-by-design principles, authentication and authorization, industrial cybersecurity practices, data protection, and ethical AI policies.
  • Travel occasionally within East Asia for partner, project, and Centre of Excellence activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of software development experience, including one to two years in a software architect, solution architect, or technical lead capacity.
  • Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems using API design, integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong hands-on full-stack development experience with Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, plus exposure to NoSQL, time-series, or vector databases.
  • Cloud-native application development experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Experience with REST APIs, MQTT, Kafka or other streaming/message brokers, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of or aptitude to learn BMS, EMS, PSIM, VMS, LMS, CMMS, and protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and OPC UA.
  • Practical exposure to AI and generative AI integrations, including LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, AI agents, grounding, validation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Exposure to Digital Twin and 3D visualization technologies such as OpenUSD, NVIDIA Omniverse, Unity, Unreal, and IFC/BIM data is advantageous.
  • Understanding of secure coding, application security, IEC 62443, and PDPA data-protection obligations.
  • Experience with EcoStruxure Building Operation, Power Monitoring Expert, EcoStruxure Foresight Operation, or comparable BMS/EPMS platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments and strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A master’s degree or relevant professional certification in cloud architecture, solution architecture, or cybersecurity is advantageous.
