$171k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that improve machine learning scalability, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to implement, refine, and design machine learning and other algorithms.
- Productionize prototype machine learning models for customer use at scale, including training and prediction automation and data orchestration.
- Enhance model prediction performance and reduce training time by working with algorithm implementations and existing codebases.
- Build machine learning tools that improve data processing, training, and data management workflows.
- Develop end-to-end pipelines and refine features from diverse underlying data sources.
- Communicate results effectively to peers and organizational leaders.
- Explore state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to deliver customer benefits.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Scala, Java, and Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and computer architecture implications for software performance.
- Software engineering fundamentals, including version control with Git and GitHub and the ability to write production-ready code.
- Knowledge of machine learning or data science tools and frameworks including SQL, Scikit-learn, NLTK, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Understanding of machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, and clustering, and principles including training, validation, and testing.
- Experience with stream processing, distributed computing systems, and technologies such as Spark, Hive, and Flink.
- Knowledge of AWS and AWS SageMaker tools.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and software container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
