Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable data ingestion pipelines with strict access controls and copyright compliance.
- Optimize large-scale RAG infrastructure, including embedding generation and vector search.
- Integrate the Expert Intelligence platform with Google GenAI products such as NotebookLM and Gemini Deep Research.
- Develop and scale distributed batch and streaming pipelines to ingest, clean, and index terabytes of publisher data.
- Use Spanner to support low-latency and highly available serving.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship and guide system architecture decisions and LLM infrastructure best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in C++ and Java.
- Experience with information retrieval, search infrastructure, ranking systems, data quality, or signal extraction for content evaluation.
- Experience with large-scale data analysis, data pipelines such as Flume, and statistical methods.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies is preferred.
