Base Salary
$168k - $21k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute hands-on technical expertise, domain knowledge, and design input to the Custodian Data engineering team.
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS-based services.
- Design, develop, and support scalable APIs, events, and distributed services.
- Develop data pipelines for ingesting and enriching data.
- Improve developer tooling and automation for maintainable, high-quality systems.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design reviews, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Provide production support, including L2/L3 support and on-call rotation, for high-availability customer-facing systems.
- Improve observability, instrumentation, performance monitoring, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineering teams while contributing to a learning-oriented engineering culture.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade applications.
- Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin.
- Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with API development and/or event-driven architecture.
- Understanding of high-availability and distributed-systems concepts.
- Experience with on-call rotations, L2/L3 support, observability, performance monitoring, and production debugging.
- Strong automated testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
- Bachelor-level education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Bonus qualifications include data pipelines, reconciliation systems, market-data ingestion, fintech applications, Docker or containerization, caching, data modeling, schema design, React, and high-scale systems experience.
- Must be work-authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship.
