Base Salary
$86k - $146k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and web applications using Java and modern web technologies.
- Lead architectural decisions and code reviews to support secure, high-quality, and high-performance software delivery.
- Build and optimize client-server applications for real-time market data processing, transaction workflows, and exchange operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and QA teams on integration, deployment, and support in Linux-based environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Maintain technical documentation and support adherence to industry standards, security practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications with Java, SQL, and modern software engineering principles.
- Experience building and supporting web applications with React or similar frameworks in Linux-based environments.
- Strong understanding of client-server architectures, API development, system integration, multi-threaded programming, and performance optimization.
- Ability to build, deploy, and support secure, scalable, high-performing systems while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: experience in capital markets, trading systems, fintech, or regulated financial environments.
- Preferred: familiarity with real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, low-latency systems, and FIX.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring or observability tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of secure software development, regulatory compliance, and production support in mission-critical environments.
