Base Salary
$116k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver technical solution demonstrations and presentations that communicate Planet’s capabilities and customer value.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer technical and management staff and recommend suitable solution architectures.
- Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals.
- Partner with sales colleagues to shape technical account strategies and support customer engagement and deal execution.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development on customer needs and proposal submissions.
- Present to executive stakeholders within the US Federal Government and lead customer workshops or training sessions.
- Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer feedback to Sales leadership.
- Mentor team members and lead training to support their development.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience supporting the US Defense and Intelligence community in a technical capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with GIS and remote sensing users within the Defense industry, including IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
- Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, geospatial software packages, programming languages, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
- Experience designing and presenting complex systems and solutions that address business needs, budgets, and scalability.
- Ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines.
- Ability to lead technical customer engagements and run workshops or training sessions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 25%.
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a US Government TS/SCI security clearance.
