Senior Product Engineer

Responsibilities
- Own Commerce’s frontend layer end-to-end, from consuming service APIs and building typed interfaces to delivering polished, accessible user experiences.
- Contribute to backend systems when necessary to unblock product work.
- Break complex product requirements and business logic into an iterative roadmap and execute independently.
- Identify customer friction and product or UX gaps, turning recurring issues into improvement opportunities.
- Build reusable, well-typed React components on Together’s UI Platform and component library.
- Instrument, measure, and verify feature success using product analytics, web vitals, and error rates.
- Address commerce edge cases and failure modes, including payment failures, quota overages, upgrade blockers, and inconsistent billing states.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of frontend engineering experience building and shipping production features to real users.
- Strong production React fundamentals, including experience with complex stateful user interfaces.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency across components, API boundaries, and application state.
- Strong observability practices, including instrumentation, monitoring, and data-driven improvement.
- Ability to translate complex product and business requirements into correctly sequenced frontend implementations.
- Fluency consuming APIs, understanding schemas and data shapes, handling loading and error states, and building typed web application interfaces.
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui is a meaningful plus.
- Billing, payments, or usage-based pricing UI experience is a strong differentiator, including Stripe SDKs, metering displays, subscription states, checkout flows, or enterprise invoicing.
