Responsibilities
- Conduct technical discovery for assigned legacy infrastructure and document findings and gaps.
- Design and implement target infrastructure architecture across AWS, private cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Develop cloud solutions and deliver implementation plans for assigned workstreams.
- Execute migration and modernization of legacy VM infrastructure while maintaining dependent service continuity.
- Build reusable components, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, operational automation, self-healing, and alerting.
- Apply security and networking standards, participate in an on-call rotation, and document architectures, runbooks, and playbooks.
- Mentor junior AMTS/MTS engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in cloud, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with hypervisors or AWS, including VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, or AWS.
- Experience migrating on-premises or legacy VM workloads to cloud environments at scale.
- Strong networking, security, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD skills.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, boto3 or the AWS SDK, and Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with large-scale file transport and high-throughput data movement on AWS.
- Preferred: SaaS or enterprise support experience, M&A infrastructure integration, Docker/Kubernetes containerization, and AWS certifications.
