Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of high-impact Android features and platform improvements.
- Drive Android architecture decisions and document tradeoffs clearly.
- Build and maintain clean, testable code using modern Android development practices.
- Partner with Product and Design to scope work into iterative milestones.
- Ensure app quality through robust testing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with Backend/API teams to define contracts and deliver resilient user experiences.
- Improve developer velocity by upgrading tooling and shared mobile foundations.
- Mentor and level up other engineers through technical guidance and feedback.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional Android development experience delivering production mobile applications.
- Strong Kotlin proficiency and deep experience with modern Android frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and evolve Android app architecture for maintainability and scalability.
- Solid understanding of concurrency and async patterns on Android.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and building robust data layers.
- Strong testing discipline, including unit and UI testing.
- Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end and coordinate with stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
