Responsibilities
- Define and champion the long-term mobile architectural vision and roadmap across Okta’s products.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior engineers across teams.
- Lead architectural reviews and decisions for foundational components and core platform initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Security, and Engineering leaders on secure, scalable architectural designs.
- Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and recommend architectural approaches, tools, and platforms.
- Create high-level technical designs, architectural proposals, and documentation.
- Participate in critical code reviews covering architecture, security, and performance standards.
Requirements
- 18+ years of software development experience, including at least 8 years setting technical direction and architecting large-scale enterprise software focused primarily on macOS/iOS.
- Expert proficiency in Swift/Objective-C, AppKit/SwiftUI, iOS/macOS internals, system extensions, OSQuery, application permission models, and related frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Android, including Kotlin, Java, and the Android SDK.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing secure, performant, resilient cross-platform mobile solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; a Master’s degree in Computer Science is also listed.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and cross-functional alignment skills.
- Preferred experience with identity and access management protocols, Android security, PKI, SafetyNet, mobile device management, and public-facing SDKs.
