Responsibilities
- Build new iOS application experiences in collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams.
- Implement custom native user interfaces using current iOS development techniques.
- Build reusable iOS software components that interface with back-end platforms.
- Analyze, debug, and optimize application and infrastructure code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Advocate for iOS development best practices and improve engineering quality across teams.
- Invest in client infrastructure to improve development velocity, application reliability, and end-user experience.
- Evaluate and adopt modern mobile frameworks and technologies.
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture focused on technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; a Master’s or PhD is a plus.
- At least five years of professional software development experience focused on iOS development with Objective-C, Swift, and the iOS SDK.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex, scalable, and testable codebases with strong API design and unit testing knowledge.
- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management in mobile environments.
- Hands-on experience with feature flagging systems, experimentation systems, and large-scale mobile application architecture.
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge, with technical leadership experience guiding project teams and setting architectural direction.
- Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed environments across product, design, and engineering.
- Exposure to or experience with other mobile platforms, such as Android, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, the iOS SDK and frameworks, Xcode, and Interface Builder.
- Experience with MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture, networking, unit testing, test automation, and App Store deployment and release cycles.
