Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and delivery of scalable full-stack systems aligned with long-term business and technical goals.
- Define backend and frontend services and architectures with emphasis on availability, observability, security, compliance, and performance.
- Drive frontend technical direction for consistent, accessible, operationally visible user experiences.
- Architect workflow orchestration for AI-human coordination, policy enforcement, and auditability.
- Oversee enterprise system and data-source integrations, including resiliency, SLAs, policies, and end-to-end auditability.
- Advance testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and proactive production monitoring.
- Partner with product, AI, and design leaders on technical roadmaps and solutions.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead technical reviews, and improve developer experience and system maintainability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience architecting and operating large-scale production applications.
- Deep experience building and securing enterprise-grade applications, preferably in regulated environments.
- Expert backend development skills with technologies such as Python or Node.js/TypeScript and experience designing distributed systems.
- Advanced experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React with TypeScript and complex, stateful web applications.
- Mastery of API design and relational database modeling at scale, including technologies such as Postgres.
- A strong record of technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural decisions across teams.
- Experience operating and optimizing mission-critical applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to own strategic technical initiatives and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience with AI-enabled enterprise products or ML-powered systems, workflow orchestration, state machines, or event-driven architectures.
- Preferred experience with platform engineering, Kubernetes, Terraform, and enterprise security and compliance requirements including SSO, RBAC, and SOC2.
- Experience in regulated or security-conscious environments is preferred.
