Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction of web experiences including the join flow, checkout, and shop.
- Lead cross-functional projects from technical planning through implementation, QA, rollout, and post-launch analysis.
- Design and execute A/B tests with appropriate instrumentation, measurement, and iteration.
- Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability across devices and browsers.
- Write and review production-quality TypeScript, React, and Next.js code integrated with backend, payment, and ecommerce systems.
- Author technical plans, evaluate architectural tradeoffs, and establish maintainable engineering practices.
- Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response and postmortems, and improve recurrence prevention.
- Contribute to engineering culture through documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience with deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks, with Next.js strongly preferred.
- Experience owning and delivering complex, cross-functional web projects from technical design through production rollout.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, edge computing, and responsive design at scale.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with payment systems, RESTful APIs, and third-party platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to design and run meaningful A/B tests and make data-informed decisions in a growth or product engineering context.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry, or Amplitude.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and influence engineering practices across a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in an async-first, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms, feature flag or experimentation infrastructure, or subscription and membership business models is a bonus.
