Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams of Applied AI Engineers through complex AI projects.
- Remain hands-on by coding, reviewing, optimizing, and de-risking critical project components.
- Design and oversee fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflow, and custom LLM application implementations.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic customers across pre-sales and post-implementation.
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and lead technical discussions with diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to incorporate customer feedback into product development.
- Drive technical strategy, evaluate emerging AI tools and methodologies, and promote best practices for inference and deployment.
- Mentor Applied AI Engineers and help grow technical talent.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7/8+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role such as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Solutions Architect.
- Proven experience leading teams delivering complex AI projects from prototyping through production.
- Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and deploying NLP applications at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain and Hugging Face.
- Strong software engineering skills in API design, backend or full-stack development, and system architecture.
- Excellent technical communication skills for working with executives, engineers, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contributions, customer-facing enterprise AI experience, and experience influencing product direction based on customer and market needs.
