Responsibilities
- Write, review, optimize, and deliver critical code for complex AI projects as a hands-on individual contributor.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to teams of Applied AI Engineers.
- Lead technical discussions during pre-sales and translate customer requirements into actionable AI solutions.
- Design and oversee fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflow, and custom LLM application implementations.
- Drive best practices for AI fine-tuning, inference, deployment, and evaluation of emerging tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to integrate customer feedback into product development.
- Act as the primary technical contact for strategic enterprise customers throughout pre-sales and post-implementation.
- Contribute to technical strategy, product direction, and open-source AI initiatives.
Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills.
- PhD or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7/8+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role such as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Solutions Architect.
- Demonstrated success leading teams to deliver complex AI projects from prototyping through production.
- Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and deploying NLP applications at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain and Hugging Face.
- Strong software engineering skills including API design, backend or full-stack development, and system architecture.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executives, engineers, and other non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring technical talent and working effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Preferred: open-source contributions, customer-facing enterprise AI experience, and experience driving technical strategy or influencing product direction.
