Responsibilities
- Review and contribute to specifications and implementations from other team members.
- Design and develop features, feature tests, and technical solutions.
- Fix bugs and refactor code for scalability, performance, and quality.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and limitations in development workflows, tooling, and infrastructure.
- Provide support for engineering productivity tools and infrastructure used by Arista’s development teams.
- Own projects from definition through deployment and customer interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 3 years of experience, Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience, a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of one or more of Go, Python, JavaScript, C++, and Java.
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX.
- Understanding of operating systems, networking systems, or distributed systems.
- Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently design solutions and implement features.
- Ability to work effectively in small teams.
