Base Salary

$184k - $357k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain reliable data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources for autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Design and optimize data-serving mechanisms for real-time and batch processing.
  • Monitor data pipelines and services, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processing efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance system performance.
  • Implement validation and data quality checks to ensure ingested data integrity and accuracy.
  • Scale data infrastructure to support increasing volumes of autonomous vehicle data.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data ingestion and serving processes.
  • Work with the autonomous vehicle development team to understand data requirements and improve data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience working on autonomous vehicles and/or software infrastructure.
  • Extensive expertise developing distributed systems.
  • Experience designing and building data ingestion pipelines for large-scale systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and database management systems.
  • Proficiency in Go and C++, plus scripting experience with Python or Matlab in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
  • Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Base salary ranges from $184,000 to $287,500 for Level 4 and from $224,000 to $356,500 for Level 5, depending on location, experience, and comparable employee pay.
