Responsibilities
- Perform application development, unit testing, development-environment deployments, and technical documentation.
- Contribute code to one or more projects, including unfamiliar code written by other team members.
- Participate in estimation, use case specifications, test-plan and test-case reviews, requirements definition, and project planning.
- Develop and operate high-scale applications across backend and UI layers with emphasis on operational excellence, security, and scalability.
- Apply serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Integrate systems with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, and the CSA Toolset.
- Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions and collaborate within an agile engineering team.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing root causes and operational impact.
- Write, debug, and troubleshoot code using mainstream open-source technologies and lead Sprint deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with software design and Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- At least 2 years of experience with software build-management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- At least 2 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and frontend/web development.
- At least 2 years of experience with software testing, performance, and quality-engineering techniques and strategies.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Preferred experience includes UI development with Angular and Bootstrap; backend technologies including Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and microservices; SVN, Git, and GitHub; relational databases; Atlassian tools; modern JDK versions; and automated testing tools.
- Preferred experience includes agile environments such as Scrum and XP, plus the ability to adapt to shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
