Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own high-quality big data and software solutions that address business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior engineers, and architects to design and ship new features.
- Contribute to code quality through peer reviews and the definition of coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Drive improvements in security, reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Use data-driven approaches to make decisions and propose technical solutions in ambiguous and changing environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering with exposure to big data ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience solving complex problems in distributed and big data environments.
- Experience building applications in one or more of Kotlin, Scala, Java, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and GCP services.
- Experience building services from requirements gathering and design through development, deployment, and ownership.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns and software engineering practices for quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and high availability.
- Experience with one or more of Flink, StarRocks, Databricks, or Spark.
- Experience with Paimon or Iceberg table formats is a plus.
