Responsibilities
- Build and ship software for Samsara’s connected operations platform.
- Develop backend infrastructure for IoT data ingestion and storage at scale.
- Create full-stack web experiences that turn operational data into actionable insights.
- Improve mobile infrastructure and products using React Native.
- Build and maintain embedded software for Samsara hardware, including edge AI, multimedia, power management, and real-time data processing.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, customer success, and customers to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Participate in customer interviews and use metrics to evaluate the impact of delivered work.
Requirements
- Currently be in the penultimate year of a bachelor’s degree or integrated master’s/MEng program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related stated field.
- Be on track to graduate no earlier than Summer 2028.
- Have experience with technologies similar to Golang, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, or React Native; direct experience with the exact stack is not required.
- Demonstrate curiosity and self-directed learning through activities such as hackathons, side projects, or independent technical exploration.
- Be able to work full-time during the internship and not remain enrolled full-time in school or university while working.
