
Campus Software Engineer (Intern)

Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain software for a distributed trading system.
- Develop production-targeted projects through the full development, testing, and release process.
- Use C++ and Python to build high-performance infrastructure and software.
- Collaborate with experienced software engineers and receive feedback and coaching from a dedicated mentor.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- Experience programming in C++ on Linux.
- Experience using the Linux command line.
- Experience with Git or other version-control tools.
- Experience programming in Python on Linux.
- Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and deploy software daily.
- Passion for solving complex problems with novel and state-of-the-art commercial solutions.
- Interest in applying knowledge of hardware, networking, and operating systems to high-performance software.
- Reliable and predictable availability.
- Past software-development internship or job experience is helpful but not required.
- Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, operating systems, or compilers is helpful.
- Experience with Rust, Claude Code, gRPC, Kafka, Redpanda, eBPF, DPDK, ClickHouse, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Pandas, SQL, MySQL, DuckDB, or the Arrow ecosystem is helpful but not required.
- No finance or economics study or work experience is required.
