Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for Twilio’s microservices.
- Operate and maintain highly available services handling billions of weekly requests.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure uptime of services through on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile ceremonies.
- Continuously improve cloud-based services focusing on reliability and performance.
- Research and enhance the design and implementation of Twilio’s API infrastructure.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in backend engineering with proficiency in Python or Java.
- Thorough understanding of Open API specifications and API standards.
- Hands-on experience in generating SDKs and CLI tools.
- Experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to SLO tracking tools and log management solutions.
- Previous exposure to service-oriented architectures and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with production systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an agile team.
