Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and product marketing to define, design, develop, and deliver features for Matterport applications.
- Lead the creation of mobile applications for capturing, editing, and viewing 3D spaces and objects.
- Evaluate and incorporate new technologies to improve products and development efficiency.
- Analyze business requirements, provide estimates and feedback, and implement solutions.
- Develop, maintain, support, troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize existing mobile applications.
- Research and recommend new mobile tools and applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in high-performance software development.
- At least 3 years of Android mobile development experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of mobile frameworks and reactive UI design.
- Track record of commitment to prior employers.
- Preferred: experience with RESTful web APIs.
- Preferred: understanding of networking, storage/file systems, security, memory management, multithreading, and application lifecycle management.
- Preferred: knowledge of 3D graphics, odometry, photogrammetry, and mobile CPU, GPU, memory, and latency optimization.
