Responsibilities
- Assist with designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Execute automated and regression test suites to validate software functionality and performance.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Work with QA engineers, developers, and product owners to translate business and technical requirements into test cases.
- Document test plans, test cases, execution results, and defect reports.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and automation frameworks.
- Apply software QA best practices, testing methodologies, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with at least one programming language through coursework, projects, or internships, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or PHP.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts and software testing fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- English proficiency in spoken and written communication is required for supporting clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States.
- Preferred: exposure to Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar test automation tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with Agile development, Git, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software application development projects.
