Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to create, optimize, and maintain automated tests.
- Perform mobile application testing on real devices, browsers, and operating systems using Kobiton.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and document findings and recommendations.
- Support regression, functional, smoke, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Improve automation frameworks, quality standards, test coverage, and testing best practices.
- Document test scenarios, automation strategies, and lessons learned.
- Research emerging AI-driven testing tools and quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, or a similar language.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts and Agile methodologies.
- Basic understanding of Git version control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, attention-to-detail, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with automated web or mobile application testing through coursework, projects, or internships is preferred.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration and continuous delivery is preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile testing platforms such as Kobiton is preferred.
- Interest in AI-assisted software development tools, including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality engineering concepts, test frameworks, and automation best practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required to support clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States.
