Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced machine learning models and algorithms for complex business problems.
- Lead complex machine learning projects that address business challenges and create value for ZipRecruiter.
- Design the architecture and infrastructure for scalable, efficient, and robust machine learning systems.
- Identify innovative applications of AI and machine learning to drive business value.
- Provide leadership and establish technical direction and best practices for Machine Learning Engineers.
- Monitor developments in machine learning and AI and drive adoption of appropriate techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience with a deep focus in machine learning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, techniques, and best practices.
- Extensive experience with machine learning model design, data pipeline design, experimentation and validation design, system design, and/or architecture design.
- Preferred: 10 or more years of professional software development experience with expertise in machine learning.
- Preferred: BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms and best practices.
- Preferred: Profound knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn and deep learning architectures including CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and GANs.
- Preferred: Deep knowledge of NLP techniques and tools, including tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, NLTK, SpaCy, or BERT.
