Base Salary
$220k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and evaluate state-of-the-art models for autonomous driving, simulation, and the ML platform stack.
- Apply emerging techniques in end-to-end driving, Vision Language Action, world models, and foundation models to commercial-scale problems.
- Lead small cross-functional teams of engineers in advancing beyond the state of the art.
- Define data balancing, training experimentation, and evaluation practices for efficient petabyte-scale model training.
Requirements
- At least four years of industry experience working on commercial robotics systems.
- At least one year mentoring machine learning engineers in a commercial or laboratory environment.
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a field with a strong mathematical or engineering foundation, or comparable knowledge or experience.
- Extensive practical experience with Vision Language Action Models, Generative World Models, Foundation Models in Robotics, or Data Centric AI.
- Experience architecting and training VLA, MMLM, or Generative World Models for commercial-scale applications.
- Experience processing and characterizing multimodal datasets larger than 100 TB.
- Experience analyzing and addressing long-tail failure cases in large models.
- Experience leading teams of two to three engineers and communicating technical details to interdisciplinary leadership.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PyTorch in a Linux environment.
- Functional understanding of LiDAR, camera, and radar processing techniques.
- PhD and/or published research in the specialty domains is desirable.
- Familiarity with common post-training techniques is desirable.
- Experience deploying models to resource-constrained edge hardware is desirable.
- Functional understanding of C, C++, and CUDA memory and threading models is desirable.
