Responsibilities
- Create and maintain high-quality automated tests using modern development techniques.
- Apply automated integration, regression, and unit tests across every application layer and within the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Produce and analyze quality metrics to support engineering decisions.
- Triage test failures and maintain the health of the build pipeline.
- Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support teams to incorporate quality into software design and delivery.
- Participate in product, test, and infrastructure code reviews.
- Help prevent escaped defects, support escalations, and prioritize customer experience.
- Follow applicable security policies and secure software development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing using Python or similar languages.
- Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing.
- Working experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud concepts.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python.
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Python, Java, or Golang.
- Programming and debugging skills with an understanding of software architecture and testing principles.
- Preferred exposure to BDD and I18N testing, performance and resiliency testing, Linux, Kubernetes, and container-based application development.
- Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the stated qualifications.
