Responsibilities
- Design and develop commercial realtime video codecs for 2D/3D, multiview, 360-degree, and light-field video.
- Design and develop encoding and decoding frameworks and optimization algorithms for live-streaming use cases.
- Research and develop video encoding algorithms on heterogeneous platforms.
- Research and develop visual-quality-oriented video coding and processing algorithms.
- Prepare encoder and decoder interface documentation.
- Participate in the design and implementation of self-developed transmission protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and software design.
- Good understanding of state-of-the-art compression algorithms.
- Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C/C++.
- Experience developing image/video applications such as live streaming, video conferencing, or offline transcoding is preferred.
- Familiarity with neural-network-based image/video coding and processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with AVS, H.264, H.265, VVC, or AV1 and their reference software is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEON/SIMD and multithreading design is preferred.
- Experience in international standardization work, rich video coding standards experience, and relevant academic publications are preferred.
- Collaborative mindset with solid written and verbal communication skills.
