Responsibilities
- Translate fitness and physiological models such as Cardio Load, Readiness, and Active Zone Minutes into scalable production backend code and validate them against research benchmarks.
- Design and build resilient, low-latency, high-throughput data processing pipelines and APIs.
- Collaborate with mobile engineers, Research, and Product teams to deliver accurate fitness metrics to users.
- Create comprehensive integration, performance, and unit testing strategies for backend services.
- Analyze backend data streams such as Time Series Service and exercise summaries to identify anomalies, discrepancies, and edge cases.
- Identify limitations in existing metrics pipelines and propose scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
