Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions and set technical direction across the engineering team.
- Integrate AI models into customer-facing features and workflows at scale.
- Own software features end-to-end from design through production release.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Support the engineering manager with team-level technical decisions.
- Design and build tools and frameworks for development, testing, deployment, management, and monitoring.
- Plan and scale distributed software and applications using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and development team members throughout the development lifecycle.
- Track, document, and maintain software and network system functionality while improving engineering productivity.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack development experience building, maintaining, and deploying software.
- Strong experience with React and Python or comparable languages such as Java or NodeJS.
- A proven track record of driving architectural decisions and technical direction.
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Solid knowledge of cloud computing, especially AWS.
- Ability to understand an existing codebase and drive improvements such as migrations to modern frameworks.
- Experience working in an agile development environment, preferably at a startup or dynamic technology company.
- Interest in AI technology and current industry trends is advantageous.
- Strong English and Hungarian communication skills.
