Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year architecture and technical direction for client-facing trading platforms, web, mobile, client area, payments, and websites.
- Write production code and prototype solutions for complex performance, reliability, migration, and systemic-quality challenges.
- Establish AI-assisted engineering patterns, workflows, and guardrails and help shape AI-powered product features.
- Set engineering standards across architecture, APIs, front-end, mobile, testing, observability, and continuous delivery.
- Advise the CTO and senior Product and Technology leaders on complex technical decisions and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and building large-scale software systems with proven Staff or Principal-level impact in a scaled consumer technology, SaaS, or fintech environment.
- Deep hands-on experience writing and reviewing production code, prototyping solutions, and working across the stack.
- Broad experience with client-facing web, native mobile, APIs, distributed back-end services, data stores, and real-time systems.
- Production experience with AI-assisted engineering, LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, and evaluation.
- Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams, leading significant migrations or re-architecture initiatives, and delivering change without disrupting clients.
- Strong technical judgment, product thinking, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with trading platforms, brokerage, crypto, capital markets, or payments is valuable but not required.
