Responsibilities
- Write production code and lead hands-on full-stack engineering across customer-facing home lending platforms.
- Own solutions end to end from discovery, architecture, and design through production reliability and continuous improvement.
- Shape engineering strategy, architecture, technical standards, and reusable patterns across the broader engineering community.
- Design, build, and operate secure, resilient, distributed, cloud-native systems and APIs at scale.
- Guide a small team of engineers, mentor colleagues, and raise engineering capability and technical standards.
- Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous customer problems into well-designed solutions.
- Drive production reliability, observability, performance, security, operational excellence, automation, and continuous delivery.
- Promote automated testing, DevOps, AI-assisted development, and developer experience improvements.
Requirements
- Deep full-stack and/or backend engineering expertise with the credibility to shape architecture and lead delivery of secure, resilient, scalable platforms.
- Strong track record designing, building, and operating distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native platforms at scale.
- Hands-on experience writing production code and solving complex engineering problems while providing technical leadership.
- Experience with end-to-end ownership, production reliability, observability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
- Experience driving modern engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud engineering, and production observability.
- Ability to influence engineering strategy beyond an immediate team, mentor engineers, and make pragmatic trade-offs involving quality, security, risk, cost, and sustainability.
- Experience with several listed technologies, including TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, CI/CD tools, monitoring platforms, testing tools, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
